im pretty sure this car will never come out for several reasons
1. the biggest reason is the car buisiness is not good at the moment, not to mention performance cars
2. all the muslce cars are headin in the camaro retro/futuristic direction which is a load of crap, eventually they will have such an un-resemblance to the original, that no one will buy
3. they would have to bring back plymouth, or sell it as a dodge or somethin

I honestly think that if GM and FORD can create these “Concepts” and make them affordable to the average middle-class workers the Imports will FINALLY have a serious problem economically.

the 6.1 isn’t a 426, its actually a 380, you can buy stroker kits for the 5.7 HEMI’s which stroke them to a 426 which is pretty dope. Also there was never a production 440 HEMI, the 440 was a big block wedge motor.

I doubt it will happen now, I test drove the Challenger and wasn’t impressed and it is better looking than this custom concept car. Both of these have the same interior, it’s like being inside a Charger. Bad thing about these is that you need to buy an SRT8 so you can outrun a 4.6L mustang. The 5.7L just won’t do it. You can talk about modding the engine, but you can mod mustangs too so that kind of scratches that out. Also the tiptronic in this thing is very lackluster.

Personally I hope this car never makes reality because it will brandish the Cuda name. The rear end looks like something you’d see on a model car and the interior has an 80’s cookie cutter design which only brings back bad memories for me. After owning both a 73 Challenger and 72 Charger (and with a friend in high school who had a 74 ‘Cuda in which we cruised around in) I can honestly say this car needs considerable improvement in both design and interior styling.

It’s a good idea that the ‘Cuda may come back. One problem though, which nameplate to put it under. Since Plymouth has been out of production for years now. Now if Chrysler revived the Plymouth nameplate for high performance cars like the ‘Cuda and the Roadrunner, that may work. Although that gets away from what the Plymouth Brand stood for, which was affordable basic transportation.

I’m a Mopar fanatic,But if they brought the Cuda back,im not sure i could take it seriously with Plymouth on it,because Chrysler Hasnt done anything to the Plymouth Branch in forever.Nothing serious at least. But it still looks cool, wish there was sound clips pr something in the Vid.

no one wants a 5 spd at the qtr its almost always a 3 with a shift kit or a powerglide
I think with the way the auto industry is going, you know with the rising cost of fuel and all, we should be glad that they are producing anything that future hot-rodder’s could call a muscle car! And if that car has a hemi well that’s just fine with me.

HI Jgto17,
You make some great points. As a lover of everything car related, I think it’s so funny that the automakers don’t realize that there will always be market for muscle cars. The mustang retro design made that loud and clear. Followed by the challenger (they really need the cuda), and lastly by the NON retro Camaro.
Performance will always sell. You have to keep the price where the market can buy and then make a good product.
